April 28 – Northern Berkshire United Way and volunteers, including from Unistress, spruced up the Born Learning Trail at Noel Field

April 30 – Thank you to volunteers with the Dulye Leadership Experience for joining Construct, Inc. for a Day of Service – road cleanup and cleanup at some housing units

Thank you to anyone who volunteered for indoor floor hockey, kids night out, or indoor soccer at the Berkshire YMCA in North Adams during National Volunteer Week/school break.

Thank you to the many volunteers – including from Greylock Federal Credit Union (a sponsor), Rotary Club of Pittsfield, MCLA, UNICO, and Unistress – who helped assemble 20,000 meal packets at Morningside Community School on April 23 for The Outreach Program. See photo album below

April 28 – Thank you to the volunteers who signed up to judge the St. Agnes Academy Science Fair, where 7th- and 8th-grade students will show their accomplishments in project development and execution. Judges will determine which projects will represent the Academy at the Massachusetts Region 1 Science & Engineering Fair in May.

April 30 – Thank you to everyone who helped at our Day of Caring event. We filled 1,000 bags with approximately 15,000 pounds of nonperishable food items at L.P. Adams, which were then distributed to local food pantries, senior housing, and other agencies in need. See photo album below

May 14 – Thank you to volunteers from the Laborers' International Union of North America Local 473 for sprucing up the playground, relocating a fence (thank you Berkshire Fence), and painting a few cabins. See photo album below

May 18 – Thank you volunteers from Neenah Papers (and one community volunteer) for painting the large girls cabin and a few smaller ones. See photo album below

These volunteers were a big help in getting the Boys & Girls Club of the Berkshires' Camp Russell ready for the summer.

The National Association of Letter Carriers (NALC) conducted its annual national food drive on Saturday, May 14. NALC's food drive, which was first held in 1983, helps feed millions of Americans. The Stamp Out Hunger® Food Drive, the country's largest one-day food drive, provides residents with an easy way to donate food to those in need. Read more | Watch video

Letter carriers in Pittsfield and Dalton collected donated food along their routes and brought it to the Pittsfield Post Office, where it was sorted, weighed, and packed for various food pantries.
