She/her/hers

Brenda has been the Director of Volunteer Engagement at Berkshire United Way since February 2020. She is an alumnus of Wahconah Regional High School and Berkshire Community College, and holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Southern Vermont College.

Her career has included roles in finance and human resources at three Fortune 100 companies before joining Berkshire United Way. The one common thread throughout her career has been volunteerism and helping others.

Passionate about her community, Brenda was a former GE Elfun volunteer (1998-2007), president of SABIC Volunteers (2007-2014), a 1Berkshire Youth Leadership Program Steering Committee member (2008-2016), and a Berkshire Leadership Program graduate (2007). She currently sits on the advisory committee for Nonprofit Center of the Berkshires, the Berkshire advisory board for Department of Transitional Assistance, and the Board of Directors for Berkshire Education and Corrections Services.

You can regularly find Brenda volunteering – especially during tax season for Central Berkshire Habitat for Humanity’s Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program – or surrounded by one of her dozens of nieces and nephews (sibkids). She passionately advocates for children and equity.

Past community service includes the Berkshire Robotics Challenge, Pittsfield Academies mentor coordinator, Business Professionals of America volunteer, and coordinator of the high school science fair at the Berkshire Museum for five years
